ANC Women's League in the North West thanks the Role of Women in Leadership
20/10/2014
Cde Meokgo Matuba

The ANC Women's League in the North West province embrace the recognition and acknowledgement given to the elderly by a steadfast government led by the African National Congress, from all forms of abuse, discrimination and exclusion.

Yesterday, 17 October 2014, the Department of Social Development led by the Honourable MEC Fenny Gaolaolwe in partnership with the North West Provincial Legislature under the stewardship of Honourable Sussana Dantjie hosted the Older Persons Parliament and Conference which saw the elderly being provided with a fruitful platform to have a say in this government.

The impact of women in leadership has made it sufficient for the voiceless to be heard and embraced in their levels of strengths. We have full confidence in the leadership of the women who have been placed to govern and lead the dynamic structures of government in the second phase of the transition towards a united, non-racial, non-sexist, democratic and prosperous society.

We remain indebted to our iconic father of our organisation and nation, President Nelson Mandela for laying a firm foundation for a united, democratic, prosperous and an inclusive South Africa that regards Older Persons as important sector in our society.

We, the ANC Women's League will never cease to exist, our role and objective drives us to a more diverse, united force, that will assist those unheard to be heard.

Matla go Basadi Matla!(Power to the Women, Power!)
