ANC NW statement on the outcome of the Provincial Working Committee meeting

26 August 2013

The African National Congress (ANC) Provincial Working Committee in the North West held its ordinary PWC meeting in Tlokwe, today, 26th August 2013.

The meeting considered the National Disciplinary Com

mittee decision on the ANC Tlokwe members who appealed against the decision of the Provincial Disciplinary Committee.

The PWC restate its earlier decision to accept the NDC decision to reinstate the membership of the fourteen (14) members as part of the reconciliation, healing and renewal programme of the ANC. The decision enhances the unity and cohesion of the ANC in Tlokwe and the province in general.

To implementation the outcomes of the NDC, the PWC, yesterday, the 25th August 2013, met with the fourteen (14) reinstated members to communicate the outcome of the NDC decision. We hope that the reinstate members will now conduct themselves in keeping with the ANC Constitution, principles and values and that they will put the interest of the organisation above everything else.

The PWC further discussed the outcomes of the community meetings which were held to recommend the names of people to be considered as ANC candidates for the by-elections to be held on the 18th September 2013 in Tlokwe and Ramotsere Moiloa.  The community meetings were held in line with the ANC guidelines on candidate nominations and the ‘Through the eye of the needle’ guidelines.
