Bokone-Bophirima ready to welcome ANC for 104-year anniversary
PELLA, MOSES KOTANE MUNICIPALITY - The African National Congress (ANC) in the Bokone-Bophirima province is ready to host thousands of members and supporters for the 104-year anniversary celebrations in the new year.
That is the word from ANC North-West Chairman, Supra Mahumapelo, who was speaking at the organisations' Going Back To Basics campaign which took place in Pella, near Phokeng today.
On January 9 2016, the North-West province will be hosting the top echelons of the party and members at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenberg to remember the birthday of Africa's oldest liberation movement, which was born on 8 January 1912 in Bloemfontein, Free State.
"The January 8 Statement also provides an opportunity for us as the ANC, which is a movement that listens to the people, to hear the views and opinions about the organisation's work from the people.
"Today (Monday 14 December) we began a process of mobilisation where we will engage our people about issues affecting their lives," Mahumapelo said.
Chairman Mahumapelo and several embers of the Provincial Executive Committee spoke to hundreds of supporters in Pella, near Phokeng, reporting back on some issues while highlighting the importance of the January 8 Statement.
ANC bikers, cadets, drum majorettes and dancers were out in full force providing
